Elizabeth Diana turned 1

A looooong time ago.
Elizabeth Diana turned 1.
And I went to her birthday party. And her mom has been asking me about these pictures for quiet a while! I am so sorry Elizabeth for taking forever and a day!
Here are a few pictures from the party.
(It was held at a horse farm. The kiddos got to do horse rides and everything!)

Hay rides are for grown ups too!
Here is the beautiful, little Diana!

A pink cowgirl. Isn't she a doll?

"Mom, I'm ready to open presents!"

Little miss Diana was not crazy about the pony ride.

Again, so sorry it took me so long to get these pictures up!
Hope you like the few I took.

When your sister comes to visit.

My seester came to see me!
Becki!
One of my very best friends.
(My seester. )
I actually just about forced her to come.
Originally she invited herself over.
Then last minute kind of tried to back out.
NO, no.
Not cool.
She hadn't come and stayed with since last November.
I reasoned with her. ;-)
Unfortunately her stay got cut a little short (Saturday night to Tuesday afternoon)
She hung out with the Benji-man and I all afternoon Monday.
He's SUCH a little flirt with my girlfriends.

Becki and I have this thing with taking late night power walks.
I guess I wasn't too excited about the lateness of the night.
Way to look like a zombie Kira.
Thanks for coming to stay with me seester! ;)
I had such a blast, always do, always will.
Please come back again soon!
....
As for other recent days:
Chilling with my main, little man.
Benjamin and I have so much fun together. It's ridiculous.
We are constantly goofing off.
...
Like this...
I don't even know guys.
I just don't know.

July 4th in D.C.

I feel the need to start this post off with a little
"These are a few of my favorite things."
1. MY BROTHER.
2. Traveling
3. seeing my family.
4. My nanas empanadas
and
5. walking in the city.

So that was my 4th of July in a nutshell.

Travis and I took a trip to see our family in D.C.
We left on the fourth, came back on the 8th. So it was a quick trip. But it was nice.
It's always good to see my family.

And let me tell you, it is ALWAYS a blast traveling with my brother.
He can be quiet entertaining. But always so interesting to have a conversation with.
.....
My uncle came to the airport to pick us up (In a taxi! lol, cracks me up.)
he brought along his nephew, our cousin, Gino.
(Who wishes to be just like Travis.)
And he is SUCH a gentleman.
So we pretty much just sat around that afternoon... As you can see in this picture.
We really enjoy each others company.
(We have 4 cousins..
Sasha, 17
Dolci is almost 10
Gino is 7
Julian is 5. I hate that I don't know..)
Snuggles with Julian!
My aunt makes GREAT pies.
My aunt's birthday was back in June, but she had surgery two days before.
Never celebrated.
Cake.
Candles.
Cute sasha! ^.^
One thing I love about going to the city is how much walking we do. My aunt doesn't drive at all. So unless it's raining or it's too hot (in which case my aunt calls for a car) we walk.
Took Gino and Julian to the park.
I actually pulled out my long, lost camera and got cute pictures. I will post those later.

Sleepover with Jules!

Some one may have a 'slight' attachment here...

There's a little store in Adam's Morgan called The Little Shop of Flowers.
I have known the owner Sefika for as long as I can remember.
I always try to make it a point to stop in and see her.
And you know what she does?
She has us make our own bouquets.
Whatever and however many flowers we want.
We get to take home big and beautiful bouquets.
She's really sweet.

Loving some Julian time.
We took a short shopping trip in Georgetown.
(This is my mom's sister BTW)

Dinner with my mom's brother, Charlie and his girlfriend Allison.

And that about sums it up.
I really wanted to be touristy this trip.
It just never worked out.
Another blog post coming this week.
=)
