Back to the Beach

It is starting to feel like summer once again!
I love Florida. I really do.
Guess you could say "Like father, like daughter"?
....
....
There was a day recently known as "National Siblings Day".
So for a moment I am going to gush about mine.
I really only have 1 sibling.
I couldn't have a greater one either.
Travis Michael is my big bubby.
Travis is 8 and a half years older then me.
I remember when I was little Travis was like my super hero.
And Since he was like the "super-cool-16-year-old" I was just the "pesky-little-sister."
Just kidding.
I'm not exactly sure what he thought of me at that age.
He's always been a really laid back, chill kind of guy.
I do remember being pretty devastated when he moved out.
As we've both gotten older, it's caused our relationship to, of course, become different.
I seriously love just listening to him talk. He always has the best stories.
He's got great character, he's funny, he's determined, knows how to make people laugh and feel at ease.
I could go on and on.
I couldn't be more proud to have him as my brother.
P.S. I still consider him to be my super hero. =)
.........
.
.
And here's to the girls who may not be flesh and blood, but who mean the world to me.
Amber, Ashley, Leah, Rebekah, Susana and Margi!
If I take time to talk about each one and what they've done for me, you would be reading for a day and a half.
-meh-
You know I'm not much of a writer.
uhhhhm, back to my girlfriends.
I can't get enough of these girls!
God really knew what He was doing when He placed them into my life.
I love you ladies! Thank you for being my sisters and always being there for me.
.
.
.
Benjamin LOVES playing mini golf.
For about 2 weeks he was trying to earn being able to go.
He had to have an ALL green day at school.
So a recent Thursday afternoon, when I picked him up from school and he's like BURSTING at the seams to tell me
"KIRA!!! I had a green day at school!!! This means MINI GOLF!"
Well, there went MY plans for the day. He was NOT going to let me forget.
He's...... uhm...interesting to play with.
His mom said that when she goes with him, he likes to play with 4 balls!
I only let him play with 2. And that takes long enough!
I love him. He's such a little sparkle.
*SO gross*
.......
I love this dog. He sometimes loves me too.

.
.
.
I did the whole "run while pushing a heavy 5 year old in a stroller" thing.
It was fantastic.
I love how I feel after a good run.
And this was a good run.
At one point Benjamin asked me if he could get out and walk.
*Huffing and puffing* I politely said NO.
We get to the end of the trail, I started walking.
I said "You can get out and walk now hunny."
His response.
"No my legs are tired. They are feeling wobbly!"
........

Really?!?!
Leave it to a 5 year old! =)
I love him.
.....
.
.
Back to this wonderful weather we floridians call summer!
I am so happy it's back!
This means BACK AT THE BEACH!
It's so relaxing and peaceful.
I'm so glad I can go sit out there in short sleeves and not shiver so hard I break my neck.
Majorly exaggerating.
But I hate going to the beach when it's cold out. There's no enjoyment in that!

So, I'M thanking God for the summer being here!
Even if every one else completely disagrees.
If you don't like the hot weather... Move to Alaska!
=)
....
...
I have a FABULOUS friend coming to spend the next week with me.
I am sure I will have a lot to blog about next time!
=)
Have a wonderful weekend!

Working our way through April

Welcome April!
Insane, insane!
April.
Got back from Louisiana on April 1st. Ever since then it's just been go-go-go.
As embarrassing as it is to say.
My bedroom looks like a cow has been living in it.
I went out of town the weekend after I got back.
I've also been at Benjamin's a lot.
By the time I get home, I don't feel like doing anything.
Everything is just piling up.
It's pretty bad.
I'm surprised I can still find anything. Eeeek.
.
.
.
Alright, earlier this week this gorgeous little family face timed with me!
Yeah! That's my little Vincent!
How I have missed them!
I know some of you are new to my blog.
I was Vincen't's nanny for about a year back when I was 16.
He was 6 months when I started.
He was an amazing child to take care of.
Sweet personality. Loved to laugh.
Rarely ever got himself into trouble and he wasn't a crier.
Not only did I fall in love with him, Jennifer and David were just amazing to me.
Miss you guys!

.
.
Now to my new little, CRAZY man!
We had a play date with some friends on Monday!
I'm not sure how they feel about being on the blog, so I will refer to them as A and H for now.
H and Benjamin play tennis together on Tuesdays and get along pretty well.
A is H's mom. And my goodness, they are a really sweet family.
I really enjoyed chatting with A.
You can sort of see the boys in this picture..  (This park... phenomenal! )
.....
I wasn't planning on posting this picture.
Not a fan of pictures with me in them. Especially this one.... -.-
But I can't help it.
I love how he takes pictures.
As sweet as he was being in this moment, I can rarely get him to just smile!
Love him <3
......
Like I said, I went out of town the weekend after camp.
It was my susi's birthday! How could I resist!
Someone said recently " You girls are inseparable!"
It's probably a good thing that I don't live over there still...
We would probably be together every day.
I love my Susana and Margi. (And my Leah and Becki too! But they are little more preoccupied these days.... hahaha.)
Friday night was ice skating, Mcdonalds to eat cookie cake together, then just the 3 of us went to Applebees for pretty much a midnight snack.
.
.
Susana with her gifts from Margi.
Cookie cake and Olan, the bear of her dreams! ;-)
Her gift from me is yet to arrive. :)

Saturday night we had planned to go Cheese cake factory- but once there, the two hour wait didn't sound so exciting.
We found another place called the Gallery Bistro. It was pretty yummy.
Little disappointed about the CCF because I've never actually been.
Hopefully soon though!
Cutie pie, adorable Sammi!!
(Susana and Margi's nephew.)
Susana sent me this next picture so I could blog it too. He is too cute for words
Until next time! ;-)

Pictures, pictures, pictures!

Here are some pictures from the past few months.
Nothing is in any particular order.
A lot of you have probably seen most of these pictures through instagram..
But for those who have not.
Most of them are with my Benji boy.

Some loving from my girl

We are big on getting our exercise.
This consists of him riding his bicycle and me RUNNING after him.
Can't keep up with the kid.
Got smart, started getting on my roller blades. ;-)

Post-run ringling bridge. Tough stuff.

Valentines Day with my little sweetheart!

After a YEAR, Susana and Margi finally came back to my side of the state! ;-)
Love my girls.

*Coming soon*
